I enjoyed reading the first book of Doomsday, that I purchased the entire box set. I enjoy immersing myself in a story that takes multiple books to develop. The Doomsday book series is just that! It starts out with a family of five, enjoying a day trip. Within two pages, disaster strikes! I won't spoil the event, but the author wastes little time in getting into the action. I enjoy stories like that! The characters were very well developed. It didn't take long, before I was thinking of these kids as real people! The story reads very well, at a fast pace. Again, the author wastes little time in getting to the good stuff! If you are a fan of end of the world stories, this is a book series that you will enjoy! I received this ebook from the author and this is my honest and freely given opinion.
This was a very well written book with an easy-to-follow plot and most suited for children or young teens. It is set in a supernatural world, containing demons and special powers. Though there is some borderline profanity, there is nothing too extreme or too common in occurrence. I would highly recommend this novel.
This book was incredibly well written! It kept me on the edge of my seat from cover to cover. The characters were likable and the plot was unique and captivating. It felt almost young adult in the horror, but children looking for a scare would enjoy it greatly. I can't wait for the sequel!
Doomsday by R.L. Gemmill is a sci-fi/fantasy novel about Kelly Bishop and her 2 brothers. They were orphaned following a tragic car accident. After living separately with several foster parents they were reunited by Angie and Chris McCormick.
The book, formerly called The Demon Conspiracy, is a series that has many twists and turns. The author has a knack for letting the reader into the minds of the characters so you feel you truly know them. It’s a book for young and older folks who don’t want to be old!
Exciting not one boring spot in the whole story. I get so involved I forget to eat because of not wanting to stop were I was. Kelly, Travis, Angie and Granny are such great characters and bring a lot to the story very well rounded. I can not wait to read the next book in the series.
